Gladiator
Frontline pressure with heavy weapon attacks. A natural starting comparison for players who enjoy staying in the fight.
Eight classes. Two factions. One big question: what should you play? Explore class identities, use a free playstyle finder and plan your first week without trusting a made-up tier list.

Prefer close-range aggression? Start by comparing Gladiator and Assassin. Like protecting teammates? Compare Templar and Chanter. Want distance? Look at Ranger and Sorcerer. For spell control and summons, explore Spiritmaster. For dedicated healing, choose Cleric.
These are role descriptions, not claims about which class has the highest damage on today's patch.
AION 2 launched globally on PC on October 5, 2026, and is available on Steam and PURPLE. The game features Elyos and Asmodians and emphasizes aerial movement alongside PvE and PvP. NC announcement ↗

Frontline pressure with heavy weapon attacks. A natural starting comparison for players who enjoy staying in the fight.
Durability and team protection. Think about positioning, initiation and absorbing pressure for your party.
Close-range target selection and burst windows. Especially appealing if you like watching for mistakes before committing.
Ranged positioning and sustained pressure. A good role to examine if you like controlling distance.
Spell damage and control-oriented decision making. Spacing and cooldown timing matter more than standing still.
Summoned allies and magical utility offer a different rhythm from direct burst casting.
Keep a team alive and make defensive decisions under pressure. Party value is not measured only in damage charts.
A flexible team-focused role that blends combat contribution and support utility.
Roles are broad editorial descriptions for the Global launch. Skill effects, relative strengths and optimal builds can change with updates.

This is a preference matcher, not a competitive tier list, DPS simulation or real-time balance feed.
An approachable comparison for aggressive frontline play. Review how mobility, defenses and recovery feel in actual combat.
Try each candidate in live combat before investing heavily in gear or irreversible upgrades.
Practical habits for solo fights, small groups and aerial combat. These are principles, not promises about a specific skill rotation.
Before starting a fight, locate the safe retreat path. Open terrain can become a trap when you burn movement resources too soon.
React to key animations and obvious commitments. Do not spend every defensive option on the first hit.
Know when you are pressuring, resetting, or disengaging. Trying to deal damage through every enemy burst is not always the best trade.
Aerial positioning matters, but stamina, movement and cooldowns can constrain the escape you imagined.
Coordinate target choice and peel instead of scattering damage. Protect a healer or vulnerable caster when the enemy dives.
After a loss, note one repeatable cause: range, camera, defensive timing, target selection or overcommitting.
Record a 30-second clip of a lost fight. At the first 5 seconds ask who had initiative; next, identify the first forced defensive cooldown; finally, check whether the losing player still had a realistic exit. Fix one pattern per session. This works better than switching classes after every bad match.
