Scout before committing expensive gear
Use the first trip to find a safer landing, crypt locations, terrain bottlenecks and a small staging site. A slightly longer walk can be cheaper than rebuilding transport after a bad shoreline arrival.
Build a staging point
Keep protected storage, food, poison preparation and a clean separation between expedition inventory and transport inventory. Do not fill combat slots with metal before exploration is finished.
Run nearby crypts in batches
Instead of returning home after every crypt, consolidate iron at the staging point. Continue only while food, durability and escape margin remain healthy.
Treat stamina as logistics
Movement, blocking, attacking and escaping all compete for stamina. Enter with replaceable food and the preparation appropriate to the current world settings rather than relying on one forgotten consumable.
Make transport a dedicated session
When physical hauling is required, consolidate enough ore to justify the trip, then check boat condition, safe landing, storage space and the recovery plan before leaving.
Recovery is a separate mission
Keep a cheap recovery kit at home and, when practical, near the route. Clear or pull threats away before corpse recovery rather than donating a second full kit to the same location.
Keep it small enough to use
A simple sequence that survives real life is more valuable than a perfect system abandoned tomorrow.
