First shelter, not first castle
Build the smallest shelter that reliably covers sleep, repair, cooking and storage. Decorative expansion can wait until you understand nearby copper, coastline and future travel routes.
Build a recovery system early
Before a serious boss or long resource run, keep spare food, a basic weapon and an inexpensive recovery loadout at home. The expensive mistake is not dying; it is having no cheap way to recover the expensive kit.
Black Forest becomes a supply chain
Locate useful coastline, copper/tin access, burial chambers, a defensible staging point and a route that does not force repeated climbs or swims. Temporary staging chests can turn many inefficient trips into one planned haul.
Bronze without resource burnout
Upgrade tools when they clearly speed the resource loop, armor when deaths block progression, and weapons when fights consume too much food, stamina or durability. Skip upgrades that current gear does not need.
Infrastructure before the Swamp
Before committing to the next biome, establish named storage, food production, a rested area, spare equipment, transport materials and a known route. A useful base gets you out the door quickly.
The ten-hour success state
A safe home, reliable food, a recovery kit, clear map markers, Bronze-era production, a useful travel route and a known next objective matter more than a giant castle or every Bronze upgrade.
Keep it small enough to use
A simple sequence that survives real life is more valuable than a perfect system abandoned tomorrow.
